The Surf Club of Quogue

Surf Club of Quogue Scholarship Fund

The Surf Club Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial support to Club employees seeking post-secondary education. The brainchild of Robert B. Davis, a Proprietary Member and longtime member of the Board of Directors, the Fund has given financial awards to 34 employees over the past 5 years

Under the leadership of Scholarship Committee Chair Kathleen Cervon, the Fund has raised over $175,000 and awarded over $150,000 to Club employees to date through the tremendous generosity of Club members. An annual golf outing and benefit auction dinner are the primary means of fundraising.

Scholarships are awarded to employees based on (i) academic, athletic and extracurricular achievement, (ii) financial need and (iii) contribution to the Club.

Scholarship recipients attend or have attended Harvard University, Vassar College, Bucknell University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Providence College, Towson University and Flagler College, among others. Awardees have pursued or are pursuing studies in neuroscience, international business, foreign languages including Chinese and Spanish, engineering, education, psychology and international relations. Awardees have excelled in athletics and have included team captain wrestlers, football players, volleyball and lacrosse players at both the high school and college level.

The Fund is a 501(c)3 organization and donations qualify as charitable contributions for tax purposes. Tax-deductible donations may be made to:
