Longtime Surf Club Member Joan Zaleski passed away on Sunday.  Our deepest condolences go out to her family.  She was a very special lady. 

Obituary Joan E. Zaleski July 10, 1946 ~ February 18, 2024 77 Years Old Joan Eileen Zaleski, age 77 of Westhampton Beach, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 18, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with Glioblastoma. She was the beloved wife of H. Alexander Zaleski. Born in West Hartford, Connecticut she was the daughter of the late David and Isabelle Godfrey. After Joan graduated from Conard High School in West Hartford, CT in 1964, she went on to earn a BA in French at the College of New Rochelle. She was a pioneer for working mothers, forging a successful career in financial services. She was a Certified Financial Planner for over 30 years in Westhampton Beach and helped so many businesses, individuals, municipalities, and families plan and secure their financial future. Joan was a philanthropist, donating to many organizations and also supporting many charities, where she helped with financial planning for special needs families. She was a loving mother to her three children, Alexander Zaleski and his wife Tanya, Caroline Parks and her husband David, and Andrew Zaleski and his wife Patricia. Joan is a cherished grandmother of eight: Lyla, Taylor, and Kane Zaleski, Alana and Heath Parks, Hailey, Emelia, and Aiden Zaleski. Joan is also survived by her sister Carol and husband Mike Dropick, brother Don Godfrey and wife Donna, sister Missy and husband David Fitzpatrick, sister-in-law Veronica and husband Fred Foos and sister-in-law Andrea Adlman, and many loved nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her kindness and gentle soul. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Westhampton Beach, NY followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East End Hospice or The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke in memory of Joan E.
