Surf Club of Quogue Scholarship Fund, Inc.

The Surf Club Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial support to Club employees seeking post-secondary education. The creation of the late Robert B. Davis, a Proprietary Member and longtime member of the Board of Directors, the Fund has given 50 financial awards over the past 8 years

The Fund has raised over $300,000 and awarded over $200,000 to Club employees to date through the tremendous generosity of Club members. An annual golf outing and benefit auction dinner are the primary means of fundraising.

Scholarships are awarded to employees based on (i) academic, athletic and extracurricular achievement, (ii) financial need and (iii) contribution to the Club.

Scholarship recipients attend or have attended Harvard University, Purdue University, Vassar College, Bucknell University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Providence College, Towson University, Stony Brook University and Flagler College, among others. Awardees have pursued or are pursuing studies in music, neuroscience, international business, foreign languages including Chinese and Spanish, engineering, education, psychology and international relations.
